Parishes Answer the Call

As the city lead for the Toronto Region, it’s a privilege to witness the enthusiasm and joy radiating from our women’s and men’s teams as they embark on their ministry. Their desire to be a companion to others on their journey is truly inspiring.

To build on this energy, we’re launching a Friend Raising/Fundraising Campaign in Toronto. Our team approaches local parishes and organizations to share the mission of STIR Retreats, spreading the good news, inspiring volunteers, and expanding our potential donor base. We’re excited about this initiative and look forward to what unfolds.

We’re also committed to deepening our collaboration between the women’s and men’s teams. By regularly coming together to share best practices, discuss successes, and address concerns, we strengthen our collective efforts. Working together is a great benefit to the STIR ministry, and we are all invested in making a lasting impact.

In the 2023-2024 term, the Toronto teams were thrilled to host retreats for 90 participants from diverse backgrounds. Our hope is to continue expanding the number of retreats we offer, based on demand and the generosity of volunteers. All members of our Toronto teams are also engaged in ongoing formation sessions, learning together and growing in solidarity.
